Creating a Budget

Aerial artists perform as part of the Long Exposure Festival in Flemingdon Park, by Sean Howard (2018)

An important first step in defining your fundraising goals is to create a realistic budget for the project. Artist fees, staffing, equipment rental, materials, permitting, food, washrooms and marketing are some common expenses. Artists fees will vary according to the discipline and to the artist’s experience (emerging or established). Sources of revenue you can aim for include grants, donations, and the value of in-kind contributions.
