Respect for Toronto Arts Council and Toronto Arts Foundation staff
Toronto Arts Council and Toronto Arts Foundation staff are here to help by providing feedback, information and support for grants, awards and programs.
Granting and awards programs are competitive and we understand that it can be very disappointing when grant applications or award nominations are not successful. Please recognize that individual staff members as well as peer assessors are not personally responsible for decisions, and are doing their best to assist and support all applicants and nominees.
We care about the mental and physical well-being of our staff and expect every person interacting with them to treat them with respect. Raised voices, vulgar or aggressive language, negative comments regarding professional expertise or personal character, or any other type of threat is not acceptable.
Staff are instructed to provide a warning to anyone interacting with them in a disrespectful way and then to disengage if the behaviour continues. Staff will also document the encounter in case further action is required.
Anyone with questions or concerns about this policy is encouraged to contact us.
Feedback
Toronto Arts Foundation welcomes all feedback about its initiatives, positive or negative. Your comments may lead to improved services, so if you have a complaint or suggestion, please let us know.
