In your own words, can you describe your practice and why you're drawn to the art you do?

Singing gives me joy every day and I have had a very strong passion for singing since I was a child. Later, when I started taking lessons and understanding my voice, I felt like I found a missing piece of my heart. When I'm not working, I'm learning, practising, trying new methods, and ideas to develop my voice and help my students.

Tell us what it means to be recognized as a Toronto Arts Foundation Award finalist.

I'm so happy and grateful to be recognized as a Toronto Art Foundation Award finalist, because since I came to Canada in 2018 I wished and worked really hard to get my art recognized, and to find the connections and the guidance to what should be my next steps. I believe this recognition is a great opportunity for my art.
