The Mayor's Arts Lunch
The Toronto Arts Foundation Signature Awards are presented annually at the Mayor's Arts Lunch.
The Toronto Arts Foundation Signature Awards celebrate artistic excellence and recognize the contributions of artists and arts supporters, across disciplines, to creative city-building in Toronto. Prior to the Mayor's Arts Lunch, the award finalists are celebrated at our intimate Finalists Reception, which takes place two weeks before the awards ceremony.
The Mayor's Arts Lunch, which takes place each May, is a high-profile event that brings together a carefully curated room representing Toronto’s creative community, including artists, key business and civic leaders, politicians from all levels of government, as well as special guests and celebrities. Artists and cultural leaders are also invited each year to attend the event.
Over the course of the lunch’s history, Toronto Arts Foundation has welcomed leading Toronto personalities to host the event, including broadcaster pop culture critic Jesse Wente, director and actor Sharon Lewis, celebrated novelist, playwright and actor, Ann-Marie MacDonald, actor R.H. Thomson and actor Allan Hawco of CBC TV's Republic of Doyle
Toronto Arts Foundation is committed to celebrating Toronto’s artistic excellence and cannot do so without the support of its corporate partners and donors. Invitations to the Mayor's Arts Lunch are available to donors and sponsors at the $5,000 Creative City Circle level and up.
