Summer Music in the Garden

JOURNEY

PAN-AFRICAN DRUMMING & DANCING

AUG 3 SUNDAY 4–5PM

Marvel at the intergenerational Ngoma Ensemble as they drum and dance their way across the African diaspora. Ngoma, meaning drum and dance in Swahili, is a virtuosic multi-generational dance ensemble, embracing their African ancestry with contemporary hints of Afrobeat, tap dance, congas and percussion

Summer Music in the Garden is made possible through the generosity of our partners and donors. Special thanks to the City of Toronto and founding patron and Toronto Music Garden champion Dr. James D. Fleck, our founding donors and our 2025 program supporters, including The Lewitt Family Foundation, Hodgson Family Foundation, The McLean Foundation, The Lloyd Carr-Harris Foundation and the generosity of our audiences.
