Ballet Creole presents Saraka Fest on August 22, 2026 at Fountainhead Park. The event will bring the community together for a Saraka – the African feast of thanksgiving.

Also referred to as “”Nation Dance””, “”The Big Drum Dance”” and “”Sadaka””, the Saraka is traditionally performed to express thanks and ceremony to the ancestral spirits who brought freedom to the motherland. The ballet will consist of several sections, each defined by a clear and specific cultural influence in the Caribbean.
