Arts In The Parks Event

Rosyland: Park Performances & DIY Melodies

Are you open-minded, creative, or curious? Are you ready for a musical feast that takes us across different time periods, genres, and cultures? Come to ROSYLAND, a vibrant and jam-packed musical adventure taking place over four weeks in August at Lee Lifeson Art Park.

This experience is designed to be enjoyable for both adults and children. Whether you come by yourself, with friends, or even with your furry companion, everyone is welcome! We have created an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.

Each week, our featured artist will showcase their instrument in an engaging performance, presenting both familiar and new tunes. This can be seen as a form of musical storytelling that helps us better understand one another. Instruments are more than just tools; they are artifacts that connects us to diverse traditions and histories, giving us a deeper appreciation of music. With such an eclectic range of music, our ears are sure to be opened up!

At ROSYLAND, there’s something for everyone! Explore the park’s art installations, play lawn games, or visit our interactive activity stations. Get a hands on experience  and test out various instruments at the “instrument petting zoo”. If you are feeling creative, you can even build your own instruments using household items.

This event is free and open to the public. We encourage you to arrive on foot, by bike, or via public transit! We’re only a 7-minute walk from the North York Centre subway station, and the park is wheelchair-accessible.Toronto is beautiful during the summer, so let’s make the most of the outdoors! Enjoy the built-in amphitheatre seating, or bring along your picnic gear and find a cozy spot on the grass ☀️

This is your personal invitation to join us and unleash your creativity at ROSYLAND. We can’t wait to see you there!
