Arts In The Parks Event TOgether Through Art

Arts in Summerlea Park

Step into the rhythm and spirit of Caribbean culture in this lively movement workshop that honours the connection between Carnival and Emancipation Day (August 1).

The session will take participants on a historic and cultural journey through Carnival movement and music. We will explore different ‘mas’ characters and their significance, culminating in a Carnival-flavoured “free-up” to soca music. This workshop is intended for audiences age 10+ to adults.

Open to all levels of dance experience.
