Arts In The Parks Event

Afro-carib fest

Afro-Carib Fest is an award-winning free multicultural celebration that highlights the rich heritage of African, Caribbean communities, and beyond through music, arts, dance, food, and cultural showcases. Highlights include drum and dance workshops, a cultural parade, dance competitions, raffle draws, an opening ceremony, vendor marketplace, food trucks, kids’ zone, and more.

The festival began in 2012 to bridge social, cultural and economic gaps, promote community and economic development, provide opportunities for local and emerging artists, and local businesses, as well as foster networking opportunities among diverse groups. The goal of ACF is to inspire civic pride, bridge cultural gaps, engage audiences, and build a vibrant community.

Join us on August 23 & 24 from 12pm – 9pm in Thomson Memorial Park!
