Toronto Arts Foundation Awards 2012 - Call for Nominations!
The Mayor’s Arts Awards Lunch is an outstanding event, celebrating the Toronto Arts Foundation Awards, and welcoming the entire spectrum of Toronto’s creative community to celebrate the arts and the cultural contributions of business and civic leaders, as well as artists of all disciplines.
Over the course of the lunch’s history, we have welcomed leading Toronto personalities to host the event, including Jian Ghomeshi and last year’s host, celebrated novelist, playwright and actor, Ann-Marie MacDonald, and welcomed a number of special guests, including:
- John Tory, Chair, Greater Toronto CivicAction Alliance
- Kevin Garland, Executive Director, National Ballet of Canada
- Jim Fleck, Philanthropist and Chair, Business for the Arts
- Maureen Hynes, Winner of the Gerald Lampert Award for best first book of poetry in Canada and the Petra Kenney Poetry Award
- Cameron Bailey, Co-Director, TIFF
- Matt Galloway, CBC Radio Host

Call for Nominations
The Mayor’s Arts Awards Lunch is an outstanding event, celebrating the Toronto Arts Foundation Awards, and welcoming the entire spectrum of Toronto’s creative community to celebrate the arts and the cultural contributions of business and civic leaders, as well as artists of all disciplines.
Toronto Arts Foundation (TAF) invites you to submit nominations for its 2012 awards. These awards celebrate artists, cultural professionals and arts supporters from every creative discipline. This awards program is designed to highlight the significant contributions made b your city’s cultural leadership. Awards will be presented as part of the Mayor's Arts Awards lunch, taking place on June 21st at the Arcadian Court. All recipients will receive an original work of art by a Toronto artist – each year TAF commissions a new work.
Deadline for nominations is Thursday, April 12, 2012.
