Artists, cultural professionals and arts supporters who have made significant contributions to Toronto’s artistic and cultural life will be honoured when the 2010 Toronto Arts Foundation Awards will be presented at the fifth annual Mayor’s Arts Awards Lunch, the last lunch to be hosted by outgoing Mayor David Miller.
This year's Mayor's Arts Awards Lunch will be held on October 8th at the historic Arcadian Court.
We invite you to join us in this extraordinary celebration and support.
Seated with invited guests including nominees, past winners, and important arts and city leaders, sponsors play a significant role in making this event a success. The vibrant art scene in this city wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our business partners. The Mayor’s Arts Awards Lunch is a unique opportunity for artists and arts supporters to celebrate together.

In his 2009 welcome message, Mayor Miller stated, “Toronto’s artists are visionaries who lead us into the future even while celebrating the past, who insist on excellence and offer inspiration. Particularly this year, when the world has been tightening its belt, Toronto’s artists continue to amaze with their resolute ambitions and stunning results.”
“This awards lunch is about celebrating who and what makes our city great,” said Claire Hopkinson, Executive Director of Toronto Arts Foundation. “The entire spectrum of Toronto’s creative community is represented here today, breaking bread with civic leaders and community builders.”
“Toronto’s artists are our city’s most innovative leaders. They forge ahead into new technologies, new ways of thinking and new creations. They inspire us to reach new heights and to do our best work. Our artists are also our greatest ambassadors, whether they are presenting our best on the international stage or enticing the world to our door. And as the core of the city’s creative class, our artists also attract the world to live and do business here. Our artists help us define who we are and where we are going.”
